Els' barn is a modern barn conversion situated in Le Coux et Bigaroque, a picturesque village in the dordogne valley.

It offers you all the comfort of a modern house in the setting of the historic PĂ©rigord Noir. 

Enjoy the peace of the countryside with all amenities at a short distance.


The barn offers accommodation for up to 8 guests with 3 double bedrooms and 1 children's room.


On the first floor you'll find:

- 2 rooms with a double bed (160cm) and their own ensuite shower room, 1 separate toilet.

- 1 bedroom with two single beds (90cm) that can be put together to create a double bed.  Smart (Samsung) TV. 

1 ensuite bathroom with toilet.

- 1 bedroom with a bunkbed (90cm x 200cm).

There's a large closet and storage in each bedroom.

On the ground floor you’ll find a completely open plan living space with smart TV, a gourmet kitchen and its dining area, a fully equipped laundry / utility room (washing machine and dryer) and a toilet.

The kitchen offers an American fridge-freezer, dishwasher, (steam)oven, induction hob / extractor fan and microwave. As well as a toaster/grill, kettle, coffee making accessories and a good range of crockery and cooking utensils. There is a dining table with 8 chairs.

The house is easily accessible with private entrance and parking on the west side. At the back the barn its overlooking the Dordogne valley with a private garden and a (salt water) swimming pool (4m x 7m).

All amenities are at short distance from Els’ barn.

Leisure and Sports:

The Dordogne river and its local beaches (Le Coux has a municipal beach and 2 tennis courts (1km).

Golf “Le Lolivarie” (18 holes) at 6km and “Golf de La Forge”(9 holes) at 4km.

Canoeing and kayaking on the Dordogne river (Beynac, La Roque Gageac, Castelnaud and many more places).

Barge trips.

Numerous hiking trails and bike trails.

Furtermore: ballooning, historical tours, wine tasting, many food and brocante markets and the famous PĂ©rigord cuisine.


Places of interest:

The medieval towns of Saint-Cyprien, Beynac, La Roque-Gageac, Sarlat and many more.

Many (farmers’) markets and night markets, brocante markets.

The castles of Beynac, Castelnaud, Les Milandes, Commarque...

The Vézère valley with its numerous prehistoric sites (Les Eyzies, Montignac Lascaux).
